Sudo – content with her new outfit

Bringing you another sketch in this series where I only seem to be able to make wonky sketches ๐Ÿ˜.

This week Sudo (one of our beautiful dogs) got her new harness. It’s bright yellow and pink – a color I would have never picked in a million years and yet I am so happy that David did! I think Sudo looks like a cute toy in it (but she’d like me to say that she looks perfectly regal ๐Ÿ‘ธ).

At work I’m having one of those weeks where I think I’m not working fast enough, doing more or delivering more even though I’m not wasting any time I can get. I don’t know if there’s much base to these feelings but I do know I have a tendency to overthink and under-appreciate myself so I’ll keep that in mind as I march on.

Outside of work, David bought me a stay-wet palette which I’m really loving with gouache. I’m slowly making some progress with my current art-study and since I only get close to 20 minutes (if any) on weekdays to do art, being able to store wet gouache appropriately is helping me out a ton.

I also picked up a tin of 10 neocolors from Carand’Ache onan  impulse. I used them in the sketch above. They’re fun!

Next week I fly to Rotterdam for work and I’m excited. I really don’t want to be that person that buys a crap ton of art products but I know I’ll be very tempted to check out some art stores in Amsterdam/Rotterdam and do see myself giving in…

If I do, I’ll endeavor to not buy any artsy things until my birthday.

Okok, see ya next week ๐Ÿฉท.
