Late post incoming…😁

I’m in the Netherlands this week for work and the weekend was full of fun but busy activities. I arrived at Rotterdam on Friday and the first thing I did after leaving my luggage at the hotel was indulge in vegan craft ramen 😋. But the second thing I did was check out an art store.

I went to the Van Beek art store. It had a great selection of supplies and (perhaps more importantly) a very friendly staff. I bought a set of 60 Rembrandt soft pastels. This is the first little sample sketch I’ve made with it. I had initially used this sheet to swatch the colors (still visible in the background of the illustration) however Saturday was a weird day for me. I started mindlessly doodling and “finished” the piece today. I may have started this sketch on a lower note but I am ending it on a better note. Such is life, right? Ebbs and flows…
